Overview
Making Workplace Food Ordering Work Better for Teams
I led the UX and UI design across the app and website, adapting the experience to multiple screen sizes and working across both B2C and B2B flows. I developed the visual language, mapped complex journeys, identified gaps in the existing experience, and designed solutions in close collaboration with the client and developers through launch
The Challenge
The previous experience supported individual orders but offered limited support for the way workplace deliveries actually happen: employees place orders ahead of scheduled delivery times, often as part of a group. There was no clear way for one or two colleagues to organize an order on behalf of a team or coordinate it with other employees. Restaurant listings also lacked information, people needed to make a decision such as opening status, minimum order, and availability. Across the app and website, missing status updates made it harder to understand what could be done and what would happen next
The Solution
I redesigned the ordering journey around clearer choices and fewer steps. The new flows make it easier to coordinate orders with colleagues, while giving users timely information about restaurants, available actions, and order status. Clear feedback throughout the experience helps people place an order with confidence and stay informed as it progresses
